Mount Kailash is considered the holiest mountain in the world, the physical anchor for the legendary Mount Meru, the physical anchor of the universe by members of the Hindu, Jain, Buddhist and Bon (native Tibetan tradition) faiths. Kailash is considered the seat of Shiva and the crown chakra of the world, for me it is the ultimate pilgrimage place on our Great Earth Mother.
The pinnacle of the journey was the sacred circumambulation of Mount Kailash. Known to Tibetans as a Kora, we took 4 days to walk around the mountain – when undertaken with an open heart and positive intention this is said to clear this lifetimes karma.
