This is a journey where we step forward in mastery in 2009, the year of becoming. We will be journeying to the heart of the Andes, a land whose people are still deeply in touch with the beat of their Mother, at an auspicious time. Andean Prophecies have spoken of these times, 2009 in particular, and the people who will gather here to learn and assist in the restoration of the natural balance. Through my journeys to the sacred sites around Mother Earth I came to understand that the Andes and the Sacred High Altitude Lake Titikaka in particular, is the centre of the feminine principle within the planet; Akin to our emotional, creative and nurturing qualities. Furthermore, what has been occurring over the recent years in the lead up to the unfolding of the 2012 prophecies (chronicled by the Maya and many other ancient civilizations) is that there has been a shift in consciousness on the planet to be centered around the Andes. Renowned author and spiritual teacher Drunvalo Melchizedek in his latest book, The Serpent of the Light, puts forward the view of many indigenous elders of North and South America, who say that the kundalini of the Earth has shifted from the masculine centre in the Himalayas to the feminine centre of the Andes. What Drunvalo anticipates is a planetary spiritual awakening of the Divine Feminine, centered in the Andes. This means the reawakening of the Divine Feminine within us individually but also specifically a greater number of female spiritual teachers coming to the fore. (www.drunvalo.net)
Ancient Andean Inca prophecies say 2009 is a powerful year for masculine and feminine partnerships and that certain couples will visit the sacred sites of Peru at this time and be raised to higher levels of consciousness. It is my understanding that at this time in particular as we interface with the divine energies of these sacred sites enhanced by the planetary changes, we carry our own individual consciousness to greater mastery and we can then help lead the whole towards mastery and awakening. We will also be travelling at the time of the 999 gateway and energy (9th September 2009). My feeling is that it marks the end of the "off shoot" that is the Gregorian Calender and the completion of that cycle, the prodigal son’s return to the hearth of the mother as given by the astrological synchronized Lunar Calender. We will be in ceremony at sacred sites in the Andes both absorbing and enhancing the profound energies available at this time. My prayer is that we are of assistance to our Mother’s rebirthing.
To help us with a deeper understanding of this amazing place and to anchor the energies more deeply within us, we are honoured to have Mallku as our local guide and Andean Priest. Mallku is a shaman respected throughout the Andes and author of several books including Inka Power Places, Machu Picchu Forever and The Awakening of the Puma. He not only speaks for the Andean people and the descendants of the Inkas but for the Mountain Spirits themselves.
As Mallku says in The Awakening of the Puma; “The location of the Andes in our planet, allowed important cultures in the Southern Hemisphere to be developed. The Inka civilization arrived to discover the mysteries of the cosmos and built temples and palaces in alignment to the Sun. All this helped this society, to have a high style of life and become rich in the material and spiritual aspects. Right now, the power and energy at all these temples is still alive and are affecting our spiritual path.”

Touching the Heart Munay Ki Retreat 5 - 9 September 2009
This special retreat with Mallku, senior shaman Master Ameru and indigenous shamans from remote villages will be an introduction to Andeans and the Andean path. The shamans will assist us in the flowering of our heart and the opening to the pure and transcendental consciousness of the Andes. We will also be receiving the 9 sacred initiation rites of the Munay Ki, (literally I love you), the nine great rites of enlightenment and universal human rites of passage as brought through by the Q’ero shaman. Until recently these initiations were only given to the high wisdom keepers of the Andes, now we are blessed to have this opportunity to receive them. Wisdom keeper Don Francisco Chura brought through the last two rites and we will receive these powerful and transformative energetic transmissions from his son Ricardo Chura Apaza. The retreat will be held in the Sacred Valley of the Inkas. It is residential and breakfast, lunch, accommodation and airport transfers are included in the price.

ITINERARY - Peru 2009 “The Andean Master Path”
Day 1, 9 September, Lima/Cusco/Chinchero/Sacred Valley of the Inkas
Transfer to Lima airport and fly to Cusco where we will be met and continue by bus to the lower altitude and lush vegetation of Sacred Valley of the Inkas. On the way to our hotel we will stop at the initiation centre of Chinchero and visit the amazing Earth Altar. We will arrive at the hotel about lunchtime, rest and then meet for a sunset despacho (offering) to the Apus (Spirits of the Mountains) to offer our highest intent to the Apus and invoke the Apus their protection. There will be a special ceremony poignant to the energies of the 999. We will overnight in Sacred Valley.
Day 2, 10 September, Moray and Maras – Sacred Valley
In the morning we discover Moray, an ancient Inka site with circular terraces that was used to create exceptional conditions or micro-climates that fostered domestication, acclimatization and hybridization of a wide array of wild vegetable species that were modified or adapted for human consumption. Here our Andean master will instruct us in walking exercises and a meditation in the centre circle of this power place. Then we will continue on to the salt mines of Maras, ponds terraced down the Andean mountainside, still in use today, these ponds are filled from a single salty spring.
Day 3, 11 September, OLLANTAYTAMBO - SACRED VALLEY
“Ollantaytambo is one of the most magical sites in the Andes. Its natural expression and its geography are exceptional. This land where mountains and rivers converge, produced seeds that germinated as great men and communities, and among them the Children of the Sun (Inka founders),” from Inka Initiation Path. At Ollantaytambo we find the Inkamisana astronomical observatory, which speaks of the Inka’s advanced astronomical and cosmological knowledge. We will rest in all this ancient wisdom and then return to our hotel for dinner.
Day 4, 12 September, MACHU PICCHU
Transfer to the train station and ride to Aguas Calientes, to visit the famed city of Machu Picchu, named by Mallku as the Crystal City, the Rainbow City, the City of the Kondor and the Hummingbird, the City of Peace, and the City of Light. The legendary beauty of this magnificent city defies description. There are many trails and power sites to explore here. We will have the opportunity for ceremony and esoteric insights on the various temples and shamanic centres and time to soak in the powerful energy of this sacred site. Once our exploration is complete, we will take a bus back down to Aguas Calientes and travel to Cusco for a rest at our hotel.
Day 5, 13 September, Cuzco – Inka Wakas
Morning visit to Tipon, an ancient agricultural site with many terraces and an intricate irrigation system that runs alongside the Temple of Water. We stop in Cusco for lunch then on to visit Amaru Machay, The Cave of the Serpents. We will participate in guided ceremonies at these powerful locations.
Day 6, 14 September, Inka Wakas
Today we discover the Waka of Q'enqo, the sacred place of the Puma. We will continue on to Saqsaywaman; the Great House of the Sun, which is the main Inka Ceremonial and meeting ground, set at a stunning site overlooking Cuzo. The city of Cuzco is laid out in the shape of a Puma with the city streets and main sites tracing the shape of this magnificent animals body, Saqsaywaman fittingly is the puma’s head. It's a megalithic, zigzag of stone walls, with boulders many times larger than used in the pyramids of Giza pieced together with amazing skill, drawing the Snake and other Andean symbols, like a lightening bolt across a great field. We will require two days to explore and connect with the plethora of sacred sites in Cuzco, the Capital of the Inka Kingdom and prepare for our journey to higher altitude at the worlds highest navigable lake and centre of the feminine energy on the planet – Titikaka.
Day 7, 15 September, Cusco to Puno - LAKE TITIKAKA
Today we visit the female pole of Mother Earth, the incredible high altitude Lake Titikaka. The views are spectacular with the lake so huge that it curves with the horizon and almost appears to wash up on the shores of 6000 metre plus snowcapped peaks in the distance. Lake Titikaka spans the border between modern day Peru and Bolivia, a division unknown in the pre-colonial days. As well as being beautiful on the eye it holds deep spiritual significance as a planetary energy centre and as the place where ancestor beings brought humanoid life to the Andes. We take a day trip by bus to Puno on the shores of Lake Titikaka visiting sacred sites along the way. It is a ten-hour bus ride from Cusco to Lake Titikaka, with magnificent views and regular stops along the way at the incredible Temple of Wiracocha and other places, making the journey very enjoyable. We will arrive at our hotel near Puno in the late afternoon and as we will have raised a few hundred metres in elevation a restful afternoon and evening is recommended.
Day 7 & 8, 16 & 17 September, Amantani Island, The Centre of Light
This morning we leave the town of Puno behind and set out by boat across Lake Titikaka and the idyllic Amantani Island, where we will receive a warm welcome and wonderful hospitality. We will stay in the homes of Island families for what for many will be the most memorable stay of the tour. The people of the islands are descendants of the pre-Inkan Aimara people. The Aimara people speak a language named after themselves, Aimara, rather than Quechuan as spoken by the Inkas and indigenous Andeans around Cusco. The spiritual leader of the community on Amantani will led us in a power offering for Pachamama. Amantani is an incredible peaceful place holding the energy of 9 and completion. The island has nine communities, 5 of which look after the main peak with Pachamama temple aloft and 4 the lesser peak and living temple to Pacahtata (divine father). In Andean spirituality the Mother always takes precedence. It is from near Amantani that I believe the twin Rainbows, Jose Arguelles, talks of will eminate. The Island of the Sun and the Moon are on the Bolivian side of the lake. It is not permissible to cross the lake by boat so we return to Puno (the Peruvian mainland) and drive around the edge to Copacabana in Bolivia where we travel by boat once more to the islands of the Sun and Moon (which hold the polarities of masculine and feminine) having first anchored ourselves within the unity of Amantani. The Islands of the Sun and Moon are more remote and therefore less visited, for me they carry a more mystical energy. The sacred sites on the islands are extremely powerful initiatory temples; just setting foot upon or sleeping on these islands, grants a powerful transmission.
Day 9, 18 September, Power Places of Titikaka
Today we discover the ancient Aimara altars as we walk the sacred path on the Magical Serpent and explore the Ajayu Marka, a dimensional world with several doors. (It was formerly known as Amaru Meru a celestial gateway where higher dimensional beings arrived to the continent of South America during Lemurian and it has continued to be used for interdimensional travel and magnification of prayer and ritual). After this we will visit Copamaya for a salutation to the spirit of Titikaka. The afternoon tour will complete with a visit to the Temple of Fertility. Overnight Puno.
Day 10, 19 September, Puno to Tiwanaku
Today we cross the nominal border into Bolivia, the people of the Andes regard themselves one (except when it comes to football possibly) and consider this border an imposition by the European settlers. Our journey takes us to Tiwanaku, the Great house of the Sun, it is the largest Mayan temple, set in the centre of the South American continent and Andes. A living calendar built with the 13 step principle of the Mayan cycle of time. We will be staying the little town of Tiwanaku over night to allow our consciousness to fully take on the blessings of this sight whilst our bodies sleep.
Day 11, 20 September, Tiwanaku to Copacabana, Bolivia
We travel the sort distance to Copacabana, a quaint Spanish town on the shores of Lake Titikaka, after arrival ascension to the Solar observatory of the Intiwatana at the Kesanani mountain. Over night in Copacabana.
Day 12, 21 September, Moon and Sun islands
Lake Titikaka in the Andean cosmic vision represents the female pool of the planet and today we will unite the Moon and the Sun in our lives. After visiting the Moon Island, we continue to the Island of the Sun, where we will enjoy the warm hospitality of locals of this beautiful community.
Day 13, 22 September, Sun Island
We have the day to explore the Sun Island. Where the boat docks on the island, there is an ancient temple like a small barn, which is built of stone, out of the cliff. It is built where people first set foot on the island, and before ascending the cliff went inside and honoured the spirit of the island and cleansing themselves before entering its sacred energy. We will walk across the Island where myth and legends preserve the voice of the Sun on Earth. Stopping at Wiracocha rock, which used to be a grand temple. Below is a picture with an Andean Priest performing a healing ceremony at the stone face that the old temple was built around. Wiracocha in the Andean system is the name for the highest vibratory masculine principle of the Divine, akin to Brahma. The Andeans use the hummingbird to symbolize this as the hummingbird is the animal that vibrates at the highest frequency and penetrates the smallest and subtlest of flowers without causing any harm to them. This is where we will be for the Spring Equinox, the welcoming of new life. The Island of the Moon represents the feminine principle, so it is in honouring and acknowledging the masculine and feminine outside of us that we allow them to unite and bloom within us.
Day 14, 23 September, Sun Island to Copacabana
Today we return to the continent docking at Copacabana to spend a relaxing afternoon taking a walk along the lake or ascend to one of the little Hills of the local pilgrims. Over night in Copacabana.
Day 15, 24 September, Copacabana to Puno
In the morning continue trip and arrive to Puno. In the afternoon we visit the observatory and natural altars of the mysterious power place of Kutimbo and celebrate our pilgrimage and all that has been gained with a closing group meal.
Day 16, 25 September, Puno to Lima
Transfer to the airport and flight to Lima, and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 17, 26 September, Lima to Home

Arrival information:
Due to the travel time, especially from Australia, and the altitude (the Sacred Valley is 3000 metres above sea level and higher) you may choose to arrive at the Sacred Valley of the Inkas a day or two early so that you are fully rested and acclimatized prior to the commencement of the trip.
Altitude
Whilst 3000 metres above sea level is not particularly high, if you live at sea level or have never been exposed to high altitude before, you certainly will notice it, especially when you are climbing the steps of an Andean temple. It is highly recommended that on arrival you put yourself straight to bed with a hot drink and allow the wisdom of you body to do what it does best in undertaking its natural acclimatization process. If you follow this advice and snuggle up in bed and live on room service, or at the very least take it very gently for the first night you will almost certainly be well acclimatized the next day. I have seen it again and again where people have heeded these words and been fine, irrespective of experience and physical fitness levels. I have also witnessed young fit people get excited and go out shopping or stay out late the first night only to be struggling a few days later at Machu Picchu or some other sacred site or even missing out and spending a day in bed. Your body will thank you and you will thank me for following this advice. There are homeopathic remedies that will help the adjustment process and a drug called diamox, that helps the blood make better use of the available oxygen., I take the former and carry the latter in reserve. You may like to investigate these options yourself. As reported to me by Gregg Braden, it has been scientifically shown that people living between about 3500 and 5000 metres have the healthiest immune systems. Due to the reduced level of oxygen there is a natural chemical change that occurs in the body that causes the cells in our body to change from acid to alkaline. As most nutrition experts will tell you this is very positive for the health of your body and even affects your emotions. This could be part of the reason Andeans smile so much. I am sure we will also discover some of the other reasons.
