This is an epic journey to connect with the wisdom of the ancient Maya, covering an amazing amount of Mayan sites in one journey. We will cover the major sites through Mexico and Central America, including Palenque, Chichen Itza, Copan and Tikal and many others. This is an important journey for connecting with the keys of the ancient Maya, so we can unlock the higher mysteries in ourselves and journey smoothly into the next age. This is THE pilgrimage of 2012 and will help you align with the incredible times we live in and also awaken your gifts and ancient memory. ITINERARY

Day 1,Tuesday 10 July, Guatemala
Arrive in to Guatemala City and overnight resting before our journey.

Day 2, Wednesday 11 July, Lake Atitlan Retreat
In the morning after a lie in we drive to the exquisite Lake Atitlan (about 1 and a half hours drive) where the traditional Mayan culture thrives almost untouched by modernisation. Sacred Lake Atitlan, or “the place where the rainbow gets its colours” is surrounded by 3 majestic volcanoes. We will have time to commune with nature, drawing on her powerful healing qualities in this pristine and sacred place. Yoga and meditation and visits to sacred sites in the area.

Day 3, Thursday 12 July, Lake Atitlan Retreat
More time in this beautiful location. There are 11 sacred sites around the lake and many traditional villages. The ancient Maya creation story says that the world came into being when mountains pushed up from Lake Atitlan. We will enjoy time with the local people here, exploring their ancient ways and wisdom. We will set healing intentions for the trip and commune deeply with ourselves and Great Spirit.

Day 4, Friday 13 July, Lake Atitlan to Antigua
Late morning we farewell this special place and drive to Antigua, on the way to Copan. We spend the night in this interesting town.

Day 5, Saturday 14 July, Copan
A full day’s travel to Copan, which is just across the border in Honduras. We overnight in Copan.

Day 6, Sunday 15 July, Copan
Today we discover the fascinating and powerful ancient city of Copan, considered the artistic capital of the ancient Maya world. The ruins are rich in temples and carved stone stelae or decorated pillars. We will have time for ceremony and to commune with this power place that holds many sacred mysteries.

Day 7, Monday 16 July, Copan to Tikal
We journey through beautiful rainforest to power place Tikal, the most famous of the ancient Mayan cities located deep in the rainforest of Guatemala, home to many endangered species such as ocelots, peccaries, monkeys, toucans, parrots and jaguars.

Day 8, Tuesday 17 July, Tikal
We have a full day to explore this remarkable place and soak up the powerful energies, communing with this site in meditation. We overnight at the charming town of Flores.

Day 9, Wednesday 18 July, Tikal
We have more time to explore this extensive site of over 3000 archaeological sites and nearly 10 000 yet to be uncovered. Another full day to immerse ourselves into the mysteries and open ourselves to the energies that will download into our lightbodies and psyches. Tikal encourages a fine tuning of your senses and an attunement to your Higher Self.

Day 10, Thursday 19 July
Today is a travel day to Escudo Jaguar where we will overnight and meet our guide Miguel Angel, a master of ceremonies and expert in Mayan culture, he is the author of several books on the Maya sacred wisdom. He teaches how to connect with the Masters of Light who are still present at the many sacred sites of the Maya world and are waiting to guide us.

Day 11, Friday 20 July, Yaxchilan, Mexico
We visit the beautiful Maya city on the bank of the Usumacinta River in Chiapas, Mexico. Then we travel on to Palenque. Miguel Angel will lead us in ceremony and connection and will share his extensive wisdom of the area.

Day 12, Saturday 21 July, Mishol Ha and Palenque
The incredible Mayan site of Palenque, lies in some of the most beautiful natural jungle surroundings. On the way to Palenque we stop at Misol Ha, (Sweeping Water) a stunning waterfall over 35 metres high. Here we can swim and purify our energy systems before entering Palenque.

Day 13, Sunday 22 July, Palenque
We immerse ourselves into the mysterious Palenque, a truly mystical place and portal between worlds. This feminine centre was a real anchor point for the mysteries of the other realms and star systems, especially the Pleiades.

Day 14, Monday 23 July, Palenque
Another day connecting and enjoying the exquisite energies of this incredible site. We will be guided in ceremony and meditation and Miguel Angel will share his insights about this power site.

Day 15, Tuesday 24 July, Edzna
We travel to Campeche to visit Edzna, “House of the Grimace” in Maya, overnighting in Campeche. As we journey to the different Mayan sites we will learn and unfold the ancient mysteries through the knowledge of Miguel Angel and through our own intuition. The connection between Atlantis and the Maya worlds will also become clear.

Day 16, Wednesday 25 July, Uxmal, Yucatan
An interesting journey to Uxmal where we enjoy the energies and beauty of the temples and magnificent pyramids and then it’s on to Merida. Uxmal is famous for its Pyramid of the Magician which according to legend was constructed by a magician god named Itzamna in one night.

Day 17, Thursday 26 July, Ake Izamal
We visit the magical yellow city of hills, Izamal and nearby Ake. More time and ceremony at interesting Mayan sites, returning to Merida where we overnight.

Day 18, Friday 27 July, Chichen Itza
Today we visit Chichen Itza, or the “holy mouth of the well, the most famous of the Yucatan Mayan sites. It was mysteriously abandoned and is brimming with Mayan wisdom and ancient history. The centrepiece pyramid features plumed serpents cascading down the 4 stairways and these are perfectly illuminated during the equinoxes, showing the incredible wisdom of the Mayans and supporting theories that the pyramid itself served as a Mayan calendar.

Day 19, Saturday 28 July, Chichen Itza & Ik Kil
We visit Ik Kil, a beautiful cenote (natural sink hole) and Mayan ruin. Time to rest and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings.

DAY 20, Sunday 29 July, Ek Balam
This amazing site which in Mayan means “Black Jaguar” was an important and influential city. Most other cities in the Yucatan were inhabited for an average of 600 years, but Ek Balam was inhabited for about 1000 years. There are some spectacular and artistic features here, namely the exquisitestucco wall opening to the tom of the ruler of Ek Balam, which has a doorway in the shape of a jaguar’s mouth. More time for ceremony and ancient teachings. We travel back to Merida where we overnight.

DAY 21, Monday 30 July, Merida
Rest day with time to assimilate our incredible journey and prepare for the return journey home and re-entry into the world after such an incredible journey. We join together for a celebratory meal.

DAY 22, Tuesday 31 July
Transfer to the airport for your International flight home or to Mexico City for those people doing the extension to Teotihuacan.

Day 22, Tuesday 31 July
Fly from Merida to Mexico City, the ancient capital of the Aztec world in the mountains of Central Mexico.

Day 23, Wednesday 1 August, Museo
We visit the Museum in Mexico City to learn more about this incredible area, its history and significance.

Day 24, Thursday 2 August, Teotihuacan
Today we visit an impressive site, the largest ancient city of the Americas. Described as the place where “Men became gods.” Teotihuacan means the place where gods were born and legends surrounding the site abound about Quetzaloatl, the feathered serpent and the Aztecs, but in truth its history is far older than this and it rose as a religious centre around the time of Christ. While the history is not entirely clear, it seems there were about 300,000 inhabitants of this, the largest city in the Americas. Later the Aztecs occupied the site of Teotihuacan and built a new city over the ruins. The core of the complex is the Pyramid of the Sun which is built over the sacred cave of creation, accessible by a tunnel under the pyramid.

Day 25, Friday 3 August, Fly home.
Departure from Mexico City back home or on your onward journey.
